K.M. Thomas has designed this robust, simple to use access control and video monitoring system to make schools more secure. Using heavy duty electro-mechanical hardware and industry leading electronics, our Secure School System provides a high level of functionality, improved security and user convenience.

Students are notoriously hard on mechanical door hardware. Because of this, our system uses Detex Advantex, Grade 1, exit devices as the first line of defence to physically secure the exterior doors. While allowing free exiting, the Advantex exit devices incorporate electric unlocking for authorized access during secure times and automatic unlocking to allow students to enter.

The Secure School System uses eMerge Essential, Browser-based access control platform, for card access

Programming and retrieval of door audit Information. eMerge Essential does not require special software and is managed using any internet browser on any operating system. Reliability is achieved with its 100% solid state architecture and an embedded Linux operating system.

Video monitoring and recording is an important feature of any security plan. The Secure School System uses a Pelco Sarix IEE20 series IP camera that includes onboard recording and allows for network recording and management from industry leading NVR software.

Control and monitoring of the access and video systems using any web browser, combined with top of the line electro-mechanical hardware is the key to a full featured, reliable and functional Secure School System.
